Results of Singing Competition (Preliminary Round)
Fourteen teams submitted their audio for the singing competition. From this, 10 teams has been chosen for the finals in Pesta Penang 2010, they are:

The organizers have full confidence in the judges' ability to ensure a fair competition is carried out. The appointed judges will refrain from providing advice, assistance to competing teams in a manner which discredits the integrity of the competition.
No company should engage the services of these judges from now until the competition is over. Competing teams need to inform the organizers should any of the judges have vested interest in any of the participating teams.
Profile of judges
Karen Chan-Hughes
Karen is a pastor-songwriter-musician-vocalist with a deep passion for youths. Having been trained in Sydney Australia in a bible school with emphasis on Worship and Music, Karen has since used her God-given talent in music to raise worship bands in churches. With her husband Paul, Karen co founded "The Realm Church" in Penang, ministering to youths who are considered without hope by society. Her ministry has brought her abroad, equipping and leading in worship with her band. In 2009, Karen and Paul answered God's call to establish an Education/Creative Arts center in Penang. Karen and Paul are blessed with two kids, Joel (6) and Rebekah (3).
Anthony Chang Wee Kuong
Anthony is no stranger to viewers of the popular Astro Talent Quest (ATQ) singing competition. Having clinched the coveted title in 2006, Anthony has since released an EP entitled "Anthony's Wonderland" in 2007 and took on several hosting stints on Astro's AEC & WLT Channel. The Sabah lad was invited to a special appearance at S.H.E.'s concert tour in Malaysia just to mention a few. Anthony is an easy going person who is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Music.
Abel Teh
Abel is the Music Director of City Harvest Church Kuala Lumpur. He has been a worship leader for the past 10 years and is featured on CHC KL's worship album titled "UNBELIEVABLE".

Please submit audios in Audio CD format – this should be playable on common CD players.
Participating teams need to submit 3 copies of pre-recorded Audio CD (including lyrics) to the organizing committee on or before May 1, 2010
It is the onus of each company’s OIC to notify the organizing team via pesta@bbpinang.org upon sending of parcel. Please provide a scanned copy of the
Airway Bill (AWB) for reference. Please use the following format: RegistrationPestaSingingComECopy_00PNG
All Audio CDs and Lyrics are to be sent to the address below: Attn: Pesta 2010 Singing Competition.

For audio files transmitted via FTP, kindly ensure files are compressed in zip or rar formats. Audio tracks encoded in mp3 format are acceptable. Please ensure minimum
bit rate of 192kbps.
Do not send audio files via email. Once FTP is completed, please inform via email. In line with BB Pesta 2010's Green Concept, you are strongly encouraged to submit
audio files via Internet
Please refrain from writing or applying labels on the Audio CD. A legibly filled “Disc Submission Form” should suffice.
The Organizing committee will confirm receipt of your parcels within 24 hours.
Please contact pesta@bbpinang.org if acknowledgement is not received beyond 24 hours of expected arrival date.
The organizing committee accepts Live & Studio recordings. The committee notes
that special effects / editing techniques achieved in a Studio Recording may not be achievable in a live performance so please avoiding excessive editing. Lip sync is strictly prohibited.
