How to apply for a Brigade Award
Qualification Guide

Reminder! Please make sure that you meet all the qualification requirements before applying for the award. Failing which your application may be delayed or rejected.

GOLD AWARD

  • Completed all the six Junior Section Awards (White, Green, Purple, Blue, Red & Silver)
  • Must be a member of the Junior Section for at least two (2) sessions/years
  • Must have an attendance of 90% and above for each session/year
  • Must be NOT younger than 11 years or older than 13 years on the 1st of January (application year)

PRESIDENT AWARD

The applicant must be 15 years and above and be recommended by his/her Company Captain

  • Must be an NCO in the Company
  • Must satisfy the minimum awards required as follows:
    • At least three years of service in the Senior Section
    • Achieved NCO's Proficiency Star (Advanced Level)
      (Attended Advanced NCO Training School)
    • Achieved Christian Education (Advanced Level)
    • Achieved Drill (Advanced Level)
    • Achieved Recruitment (Basic Level)
    • Besides the above compulsory awards, you must have achieved a minimum of six (6) proficiency awards
    • The awards must be from each group (Group A, B, C and D)
    • The awards must be at least two (2) at Basic Level and four (4) at Advanced Level

FOUNDER'S AWARD

  • Must be a President's Award holder
  • Must continue membership in the Senior Section for a further period of at least two (2) years during which the individual must:
  • Show loyaly to the Company, accept an appropriate degree of leadership and responsibility in the Company.
  • Show knowledge and understanding of BB at Brigade (National) and International level.
  • Undertake a research project and write a report of at least 3000 words. The subject is to be determined by the Brigade Awards Chairman or the the Brigade Secretary.
  • Carry out 40 hours of practical service for others outside the Company.
  • Attend the Founder's Award Conference and/or interview.

OFFICER'S SERVICE AWARD

  • Must be an active serving officer of a company.
  • Must be serving continuously for the number of years based on the Officer's Service Award applied. (for eg. serving a minimum of 10 years continuously for the Bronze Medal)
  • An official recommendation letter from the Chaplain must be accompanied with the application form.
Bronze : 10 years
Silver : 15 years
Gold : 20 years
