1 An Active BB Company
1.1 An active BB Company has the following characteristics :
(a) Legally registered with the Registrar of Societies and shall be within a Church, Mission or other Christian Organisation which shall have full control of the Religious Instruction of the Company. (Constitution Article 7(a) )
(b) That the Company has a minimum average weekly attendance of at least 20 Boys and/or Girls with a minimum supervision of at least one (1) officer of Lieutenant rank or above who is officially appointed by the Sponsoring Authority. (Constitution Article 7 (c), 8 (a) i. and 8 (b))
(c) The Captain of each Company shall return statistics annually, and report procedure as required to the Brigade Executive. Failure to remit the said statistics shall disqualify the Company from any voting right. (Constitution Article 8 (d))
(d) All registered Companies in BBM shall participate in all Brigade Council Meeting by sending the representative, delegate/s and/or observer/s to any such Brigade Council Meeting issued by the Brigade Secretary. (Page 11 By-Laws No. 5)
(e) All Companies in BBM shall participate in at least ONE (1) ACTIVITY organised by BBM annually. (Page 11 By-Laws No. 7)
(f) All Companies in BBM are required to respond to all correspondences, reminders, questionnaires and/or other request by BBM. (Page 11 By-Laws No. 8)
(g) All fees, charges, dues or any moneys owing and payable to BBM shall be paid promptly by the Companies concerned or as within the time frame stipulated. (Page 13 By-Laws No. 13)
(h) Uniform worn by all Officers and BB Members must be in accordance with the Uniform Regulations of BBM and/or in compliance with any circulars issued by the Brigade Headquarters. (Page 14 By-Laws No. 23)

2 Non Performing Status
2.1 Any BB Company fail to comply one or more criteria in No. 1.1 (extracted from The Constitution and By-Laws of The Boys' Brigade Malaysia approved on 3 January, 2000) shall be classified as Non Performing Company (NPC).
2.2 The action that may be taken by the Brigade Executive in connection with non compliance may include the following :
a) requesting for an explanation from the Company / Company Captain;
b) Informing and / or requesting for an explanation from the Sponsoring Authority of the Defaulting Company;
c) Take any other action which may deem fit including de-registering the Defaulting Company from BBM.

3 Temporary Not Operating
3.1 A Company is classified as "Temporary Not Operating" when the Company Captain/Chaplain/Sponsoring Authority officially inform the Brigade HQ over the temporary ceasing of operation of the Company weekly Parade.
3.2 A Company would be classified under "Temporary Not Operating" for a maximum of 2 years.
3.3 An extension of one (1) year shall be granted to a Company for "Temporary Not Operating" upon request from the Company Captain/Chaplain/Sponsoring Authority.
3.4

In the event when the Company failed to be revived after the extension, the Brigade Secretary shall advise the Company Captain/Chaplain/Sponsoring Authority on one of the following options below :

a) to de-register (close) the Company
b) to revive the Company within twelve (12) months after the expiry of the extension.

4 Non Privileges
4.1 A Company classified under Non Performing or Temporary Not Operating shall not be entitled to purchase any items from the BB Shop in Malaysia and elsewhere or to make any items that bears the name and logo of the Boys' Brigade.
